Last Friday night I had the pleasure of attending and photographing a lovely event put on by a local non-profit, adult day program organization called, Always There. This event, An Evening in Paris, included live music, dancers from a local studio, great food, French-inspired mimes, and even a wine tasting. Several local businesses sent representatives and sponsored the event, which benefitted the organization 100%. Attendees enjoyed watching the mimes come to life when donations were made. A silent auction included a variety of unique and valuable items, from furniture, to signed posters and guitars, to France-themed décor and more. Two performers from the Hudson Valley Voice contest performed for the guests, and 3 local people/organizations were recognized for their contributions to the community. Below (if this is the main blog page, click the link) are some of the photos I captured during the event. If you are interested in obtaining a copy of a photo from the event, please contact me for further information, as all images are copyrighted.
A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending the shoot for the television commercial for the Hudson Valley Voice competition.
The shoot showed images of contestants at the location where the competition will take place throughout the summer, at the Lazy Swan Golf and Country Club Village in Saugerties, NY. I scooped up many “production stills” of the contestants cheering, singing, introducing themselves, and socializing in the gorgeous atmosphere at the Lazy Swan. Also noteworthy, the prize Subaru, that the winner will win come October and the end of the show.
While the shoot progressed and the sun went down, my creative juices flowed, and I became trigger happy, clicking the shutter hundreds of times, capturing images of the evening’s proceedings and the scenic environment of the country club.
And here is the commercial:
