I was recently called upon to photograph HOBY’s fall 2013 Advanced Leadership Academy near St Louis. Above is the slideshow that I created for their closing ceremonies. Please note, music is copyrighted to original owners.
It was a very busy and full several days working for the conference. As part of the event I also did headshots of all the participants and staff. Originally, the headshots were supposed to be in front of a branded step and repeat backdrop – but due to unforeseen circumstances with shipping, the background did not arrive until too late. So… I improviced and used a plain white wall to create simple and classic, high-key, professional headshots for all involved. (See Lightroom screenshot below to see how that turned out.)
Also involved in working, was doing group shots: an overall shot of the entire conference, group shots of all staff, staff teams, and the participant groups. Each of those can be seen at the end of the slideshow.
Lastly, I worked with a few people to conduct a few dozen video interviews and collect general video of the event to create commercials to promote and educate prospective attendees on the event – because it is still new, and people are unaware of what it is and why they should attend. Currently, the videos are not ready, but as soon as they are, I’ll post them!
All in all, it was a successful event!
